I'm a senior at Johnston High School, and I have a passion for writing and a newfound love of photography.

Writing is a part of who I am. I've loved writing ever since I was little. It's always been my escape when life gets tough. I think the reason I love writing so much is because it's a form of freedom, and I think it's cool having the honor to help write peoples stories. I hope to be able to continue fueling my love for writing through college, as I plan to pursue journalism.

I never thought I'd ever know how to use a camera, but once I was taught, I discovered a personal love of it. I enjoy photography because it's the art of capturing a moment of time. It's a key part of history, as photography helps one who was not present to learn about what happened. Although I have a lot more to learn, I'm excited to share the work I have so far, and to have others come along on my journey with me!
